The Parallax ist ein kostenloses, postapokalyptisches Textabenteuer im Stil einer Messenger-App, in dem du nur die eine Aufgabe hast: Hilf David zu überleben!

In The Parallax erlebst du eine packende Endzeit-Story in Echtzeit, in der du mit Charakteren chattest, ihnen Ratschläge erteilst und Entscheidungen für sie triffst. So bestimmst du den Verlauf der Geschichte!

DIE AUSGANGSLAGE

Nichts ist mehr wie zuvor: Die Welt ist nach einer verheerenden Seuche komplett aus den Fugen geraten und wird seitdem von umherschweifenden Zombies regiert. Einzig David Blythe, der vermeintlich letzte Überlebende dieses Killer-Virus, hat einsam und hilflos in seiner Wohnung ausgeharrt. Seine letzte Hoffnung auf Hilfe ist ein selbstgeschriebenes Computerprogramm zur Suche nach weiteren Überlebenden.

DER ÜBERLEBENSKAMPF KANN BEGINNEN!

Seine Nahrungsreserven neigen sich dem Ende zu, die Isolation droht ihn zu zermürben und die lebenden Toten kommen ihm immer näher. Doch nach einem letzten verzweifelten Hilferuf bist plötzlich du am anderen Ende der Leitung. Fortan bist du als sein Begleiter am Handy überall dabei und seine größte Unterstützung im actiongeladenen Überlebenskampf mit den Zombies. Im Echtzeit-Chat arbeitest du mit unserem Helden ausgetüftelte Überlebensstrategien aus, um die richtigen Entscheidungen zu treffen und den Gefahren der Apokalypse zu entrinnen, andere Überlebende zu finden und erträgst so manches Mimimi, wenn David drauf und dran ist, die Nerven zu verlieren. So erfährst du im Laufe der Story auch mehr über Davids Freunde, seine Gedanken und sein Leben vor der Epidemie und baust eine enge Bindung zu ihm auf.

Auf der Suche nach überlebensnotwendigen Ressourcen wie Nahrung oder Handyladegeräten trefft ihr immer wieder auf Horden von Untoten und durchlebt gemeinsam brenzlige Situationen. Aber Achtung! Eine falsche Entscheidung kann Davids Tod zur Folge haben und lässt dich, beim Versuch mit unserem sympathischen Nerd die blutrünstige Zombiearmee zu besiegen und das Rätsel der großen Seuche zu lösen, gnadenlos scheitern!

Jede getroffene Entscheidung hat in diesem Survival Textadventure direkten Einfluss auf das Überleben von David und den Fortgang der Geschichte. Daher kommt es darauf an, dass ihr gemeinsam als Team einen Weg findet, gegen die Zombies vorzugehen. Also triff jede Wahl mit Bedacht! Einzig das sichert das langfristige Überleben unseres Helden.

Je tiefer ihr in das Rätsel um den Virus und die mörderische Seuche eintaucht, desto mehr Einblick erhältst du in Davids Leben, das seit deinem Erscheinen nicht mehr nur aus Instantnudeln und Herumsitzen auf der Couch besteht. Fremde Nachrichten landen scheinbar zufällig bei dir und auch, wenn David diesen Echos keine tiefere Bedeutung zumisst, scheint es einen unbekannten Zusammenhang zu geben. Der Virus ist nicht das einzig Mysteriöse in der postapokalyptischen Welt.

In The Parallax, you'll experience a gripping end-time story in real-time, chatting with characters, giving them advice and making decisions for them. That's how you decide the course of the story!

THE INITIAL SITUATION

Nothing is more than before: the world is completely out of joint following a devastating plague and has since been ruled by roving zombies. Only David Blythe, the supposedly last survivor of this killer virus, has been left alone and helpless in his apartment. His last hope for help is a self-written computer program to find other survivors.

THE SURVIVAL FIGHT CAN BEGIN!

His food reserves are coming to an end, the isolation threatens to wear him down and the living dead come closer and closer to him. But after a last desperate call for help you are suddenly at the other end of the line. From now on, you're his mobile companion everywhere and his greatest support in the action-packed survival battle with the zombies. In real-time chat, work with our hero to devise sophisticated survival strategies to make the right decisions and escape the perils of the apocalypse, find other survivors, and endure so many mimimi when David's about to lose his nerve. In the course of the story you will also learn more about David's friends, his thoughts and his life before the epidemic and build up a close bond with him.

MEET YOUR DECISIONS WITH THOUGHT!

In search of vital resources such as food or mobile phone chargers, you will encounter hordes of undead and live through dangerous situations together. But beware! A wrong decision can result in David's death and will make you mercilessly fail when you try to defeat the bloodthirsty zombie army with our likeable nerd and solve the mystery of the Great Plague!

Any decision taken has a direct bearing on David's survival and the progression of the story in this Survival Text Adventure. Therefore, it is important that you as a team find a way to fight the zombies. So make every choice wisely! Only this ensures the long-term survival of our hero.

SOLVE THE MYSTERY!

The deeper you delve into the mystery of the virus and the murderous plague, the more insight you get into David's life, which since your appearance no longer just consists of instant noodles and sitting on the couch. Strange messages seem to land up randomly with you, and even if David does not attach any deeper meaning to those echoes, there seems to be an unknown connection. The virus is not the only mystery in the post-apocalyptic world.
